The Lexington-Deauville student exchange is the oldest program as part of Lexington Sister Cities. The first exchanges started in the 1970s and have been giving Lexington and Deauville students the wonderful exchange experience ever since.
During the exchange, Lexington students travel to Deauville for three weeks and stay with their counterpart and host family. Deauville students then return to Lexington with their counterpart to stay with them in Lexington for three weeks.
Students get to experience French language and culture first hand during the exchange. They are also given the opportunity to be an ambassador for Lexington and show off their city to their French counterpart.
